Robert H. Shaykin
Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Principal
Prior to joining GarMark in 1999, Mr. Shaykin was the Vice President of Finance for a biotechnology company. Mr. Shaykin previously spent ten years as Chief Financial Officer of Adler & Shaykin, one of the early private investment firms engaged in sponsoring management leveraged buyouts. While at Adler & Shaykin, Mr. Shaykin was engaged in the financial management of the firm and investor relations, as well as post-acquisition and monitoring activity serving on the board of directors of several portfolio companies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Shaykin was the controller of a $500 million division of GTE Corporation and a $750 million division of Fort Howard Corporation where he was responsible for the accounting, control and budget functions at multiple operating locations. Mr. Shaykin received his B.A. from DePauw University and his M.B.A. from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
